|14-Dr Dan takes digital radiographic images||Previous||Index||Next|
Dr. Dan begins by taking "x-rays" of his patient's teeth. The result of this
effort, however, is no longer a series of small negative slide images that he
holds up to the light. There are no more chemicals involved in this
process. The images are all immediately translated into digital images that Dr.
Dan can view on his computer monitor. We'll see that in a moment.
In this particular case, this patient has been here before, so there is already a history in the computer. This patient is looking at images of his teeth taken during previous visits ON HIS OWN SCREEN. These are not the images that are currently being taken, but he will get to see those in just a few moments.
